How It Works
Benzoyl peroxide releases oxygen into pores, killing anaerobic bacteria (C. acnes) that cause acne. It also has mild comedolytic (pore-clearing) effects.

Getting Started
2.5% is as effective as 10% with less irritation. Start every other day. Bleaches fabrics—use white towels and pillowcases. Very drying—moisturize well.
